Springfest 2011

May 19, 2011. Aching feet, grumbling stomach, half-delirious imitations of a decapitated millipede on the drama room floor, panic, root beer milkshakes, and an overwhelming sense of accomplishment.
That's the best I can do to sum it up.

SO. A recap of springfest and the stuff I had displayed.

Nicole's jars and my drug drawings.

"Choose Wisely"
Dramatic angle time.

Panel 1.

Panel 2.

Panel 3.

View from the stairwell. Back at like 6ish, when the natural light was streaming in, it was absolutely gorgeous. Too bad I didn't get a picture :(

Prints!

"I'll Assemble All the Sand"

- watercolour

Didactic Panel

"One In a Million"

- ink on illustration board

"Aut Inveniam Viam Aut Faciam/Either I Shall Find a Way or Make One"

- ink on illustration board

"Maori"

- oil on canvas

The art stairwell that I basically called dibs on.

"Show Them What You're Made Of" (otheriwise known as my never-ending love affair with carbs)

- wheat on poster board

"Performance Piece 2"

All in all, a resounding success of a night :D

I'm gonna miss you, graduating talent of '11

Peace,

Wheattttttt

So I'm finally getting back into the art groove. Sorta.

Some birthday cards:

And the bane of my existance, a self-portrait in wheat.

Essentially taking this:

And somehow re-creating it in wheat.

Some progress shots:

Peace,

Len

Final Performance Art,
Many thanks to Amy Chang, I don't know many people who'd agree to be covered in paint with me.

English Class Update

I have 25 minutes left of English class in which I am supposed to write a story that is both profoundly moral and not scandalous or personal enough to offend anybody.

This is ridiculous.

I have a lot to say, but all the lessons I learned in life came from experiences that I do not want to share with my U English class.

I'm surprised that my blog isn't blocked on the school computers.

It is hot as hell today.
But it could be a lot worse I guess.
Last week at TKD almost made me forget what it felt like NOT to drown in your own sweat. And other people's. *shudder*

I saw "How to Train Your Dragon" last weekend, and it was single-handedly the most adorable thing ever. And I own a 9 month old kitten.
SO CUTE.
The entire audience was "AWWWWWW"ing basically every single time Toothless came on screen. I LOVE how catlike they made him.
GAHHHH <3

I've been spending most of my time lurking old songs from my childhood on YouTube. I'll link some when I get home I guess :]

I'll go back to writing my stupid-ass photostory on the time I locked my cat in the fridge by accident and almost scared myself half to death.

Peace,

~Lenny
